BioDigester™

Acidification of milk for organic calves

BioDigester™ is a complementary feed for acidification of milk for organic calves, containing dextrose, pectins, electrolytes (Na⁺, K⁺, Cl^–) and lactic acid bacteria, which together have a positive impact on the calf’s gastrointestinal system.

Can be used in organic production in accordance with regulation (EU) 2018/848.

BioDigester™ contains:

Lactic acid bacteria acidify the milk and reduce growth of pathogenic microorganisms
Pectins protect the intestinal wall and bind toxins
Dextrose provides easily absorbable energy and stimulates absorbtion of Na+ from the intestine
Electrolytes contribute to optimal salt and fluid balance

Application

Administer 15 grams of BioDigester™ per 10 litre of milk (35-40 °C) just before feeding to the calf. BioDigester™ should be used right from the start of milk feeding after birth.

Consumption

2.5 kg are enough for approx. 1700 kg of milk.
